This site attempts to put old money values (from as early as 1264!) into todays money. For Sterling... http://eh(.)net/hmit/ppowerbp/ For US Dollars... http://eh(.)net/hmit/ppowerusd/ Remove those brackets! Jason. |

Hi, Cannot believe this is at 11 pages now!! In Lowestoft, Suffolk are 3 cemeteries can search for alpabetically and it gives you age, address and occupation at death and plot number last week I went back to "home" and found some relatives headstones from 1890's due to this website: http://www(.)waveney(.)gov(.)uk/cemetery/cemetery.htm Also following is good website for us to all aid if we have some spare time and want to help the greater good with regards to gravestones and it has already got some in Suffolk and Norfolk but needs more volunteers for rest of country: http://www(.)gravestonephotos(.)com Hope that helps someone out there! I have sometimes heard of people being described as "3rd. cousin, twice removed", etc. and have never really understood what it means. Searching for some ancestors in Eastern Europe, I came across this "Relatives Calculator". This is either a touch of wimsey, or a useful tool, depending on how you see it ... http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/krakow/relations.asp Enjoy ! P.S. if you have jewish relatives from Krakow, click on "site menu" on this page. There is all sorts of info. here, vital records from 1810 upwards, etc, etc. |

found a good link today. http://stat-acc-scot(.)edina(.)ac(.)uk It has all sorts of useful background information on Scottish Counties, Parishes etc. Give loads of details about what life was like back in 1700s to 1800s. You can pick up lots of little details about different clans. Well worth a look if you are researching scotland. I apologise if anyone has already posted this site. Pam |

Not sure if this one has been listed, but here goes. Type Black Sheep Index into search engine up comes court cases and inquests from 1860 - 1910 , reports on murder, suicide, divorce, fraud and much more, really interesting. Sue |

OGS - Ontario Genealogical Society, just type OGS Canada into your web browser and gives a whole list of the branches of the society across Ontario, Canada. Good site if your research takes you here. Amanda |
