Forgot to say: if you're really new it's worth clicking on Resource Centre towards the bottom left of the GC menu and 'Getting Started'. Happy hunting! Sue |

This site is about the lost london streets. You can find out what happened to the street, your ancestors lived in, it tells you if the street has been renamed or demolished. members(.)aol(.)com/WHall95037/london.html |

www.bbti[.]bham[.]ac[.]uk Good site if you have any ancestors who traded in printing, bookselling, stationary, engraving or papermaking. didn't find any of mine but worth a try, most of the 94,000 records they hold are pre 1851. remember to remove brackets as usual Michele |

http://www(.)durham(.)gov(.)uk/DurhamCC/usp(.)nsf/pws/Durham+Record+Office+-+DRO+-+Family+History+-+Available+Information This is Durham County Council Records Office Family History Section web site. I use it all the time to prepare for visits to the Viewing Room. Saves time when you have the microfilm number all ready for when you get there. If this link doesnt work try going to www(.)durham(.)gov(.)uk search there for Record Office and then click on Family History. Best place is the Church Records - shown on the left hand side. You even get a potted history of each Church. Good hunting. Linda |
