My 3 x Great grandfather was a Samuel Jordan and in 1845 his occupation is described on his son’s marriage certificate as registrar – his son was born in Barnwood Gloucester – which is now within the city of Gloucester and I can only presume Samuel Jordan was a registrar in that area – does anybody know if there is an index of registrar’s or does anyone holding certificates from the Gloucester area from that period have one signed by Samuel Jordan. Many Thanks. Steve Holloway. |
