I was born in cork ireland in 1959, and adopted in scotland, I have registered with birthlink in scotland, to be placed on their register, but no luck so far. Is it true that Irish law does not allow me to have any information about my birth mother, or where she might be now. The only address I have is the convent where I was born, and her name, but they were not helpful. I feel if this is the case I'm at a dead end. Does anyone know where I can look now? I would really appreciate any help.
