I've found out that my GG Grandmother Agnes Brown comes from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. According to our 1891 + 1901 census she would have been born approx 1843. She married my GG Grandfather Thomas Millis when he was stationed there with the Army. Their first son was born in Nova Scotia too around 1869 then they all come to the UK. I've been to rootsweb and it seems the Canadians didn't keep too many records before 1864. How can I find out more about this side of my family? Thanks Naomi |
