Belgian Boarding Schools

I know this is a really vague question but am wondering if someone is able to help me. My grandfather and his brothers were sent to Belgium to boarding school. All I know is they were sent home to the UK at the start of the first world war. Since he was born in 1903 I assume he was away sometime after 1908 or so. I have tried Google and came up empty. Any ideas as to where the Brits were sending children to school during that time?
