Hi Judy For some reason, I can't see the actual files to delete! I have opened the Temporary Internet Files folder, within that is another folder called Content.ies, and within that folder are four more folders with code names, but have nothing in them. However, I know the files are there, because when I carry out a virus scan it takes ages to scan them all. Am I doing something wrong? Have managed to clear out my cookies folder successfully! Best wishes, Karen

Karen: You're doing nothing wrong. When you click on the yellow temporary internet folder if there is only what you are describing, there is nothing for you to do....the file you describe has to do with the operating system. If you click open the yellow temporary internet folder and see website addresses right off the bat, those are the files you want to get rid of. Windows XP generates several temporary internt folders....not all of them collect temporary internet files. Judy

Whew...Colin explained that well! (Nice job!) Sharon....cookies and temporary internet files, when deleted, go to your recycling bin....which you would then empty. Judy

Judy Hi, I have just tried to empty my temporary internet files as I have done before (after following your instructions I hasten to add), only this time they did not all go! I highlighted them all, as before, and thought all were done, deleted them, and some popped back again. So I tried the procedure again on these last remaining ones, but they won't go! Can you advise me as to why they should still be there? They are mostly genesconnected ones I have to say! Would appreciate your much welcomed advice. Thanks so much Lisa

Lisa....off hand I can only explain GC cookies still being there, after you've deleted the cookies cache, is because you are still at GC site when emptying?
