Just joined up too !!! Had looked into it before but was given the impression you had to have a microfiche......... I also transcribe for BMD so am going to be very busy little bee for a while !!!! |

Christine, The term 'snail mail' refers to the conventional postal service (which actually these days make snails look like olympic sprinters !) as opposed to e-mail etc. Simon |

Looks like they are going to busy sending CDs out! More the merrier and soon enough we will all see lots of areas on the site. I have sent Carol all the emails that were sent to me and I'm sure she will be in touch soon. I had to space the letters out and put AT because the email wont come up right on here. You need to remove the spaces and put @ in the address, I dont mind sending it on if you do get a problem. Good luck everyone |

Just had an e mail back from Carol. I think I will have a go. As I have a fiche reader I may go for the 1891. That way I could record it into the computer as I go, may be a bit easier for me to begin with!! |

I'm really interested in doing this but do you have to be very computer literate. I can do this weekends when I'm not at work and I use their site a lot so would like to give a bit back. Just worried about doing it wrong. |

Hi Maz, you can either contact Carol from the email address, but it hasnt come out well, or email me and I will send it on to Carol. I'm disabled too and it does feel so good being of some use! Just pick what you would like to do and go from there. Good luck, best wishes, Jo |
