Well my family come from Bath Somerset and Box & Colerne in Wiltshire which is on the boarders so moved between the two. Simpkins or Simkins in Bath before 1790 upto 1881 Brown in Bath from 1820 Birth in Bath from 1820 Hinton in Frome around 1800 Henry was born in Frome abt 1800 father was also Henry Irene |

I am looking for NETHERCOTT in Somerset,especially b. in Dulverton. I am especially looking for Alice Nethercott who was apparently a rather naughty girl--she had 4 illegitimate children, all baptised in Dulverton 1784-1805. I cannot find any trace of her anywhere. This reply is for Terence and Ann - I've tried emailing you both direct but the site keeps showing a red error message (presumably yesterday's maintenance is ongoing!). As I have ME and try to work part-time, I can't help much in the way of research, but as I live in Frome I'd be happy to do what I can - if you need any general info on the area or would like a photo of a property or gravestone, etc. Just let me know. |
