accessing my contact's tree's

why do i get an error message saying iam not authorised to view the detail's. I am a paid member, i can view the name's in the tree's, just not the tree's themselve's. Please help regard's Shan

Shan You can only access someone else's tree if they allow it.

It's happening to me too. I can reach personal details but not trees of other people who have given me permission! Also the facility for downloading the GC tree I have isn't working properly.

It is happening to me too! I can view relations of other people tree's but when i click on view tree it is coming up with a message saying i am not authorised to view this tree. Must be something to do with this stupid name change of theirs! I have just sent them an email asking them to sort it out. Sharon

Me too, perhaps we'll get our money back as the site is not performing as it should. Anyone want to join my club....REFUNDS REUNITED!!!

Bet its something to do with the site being off line this morning and all the 'improvements' why dont you email them direct so they can see to it . Penny

It's certainly the fault of GC (I refuse to refer to it as GR) I have always been able to see my cousins tree until today. If this is the outcome of their improved changes they would be better to leave well alone. Pat

Hi all, I'm also having problems viewing trees, I'm a paid up member and have access to about 7 trees, I could view them ok last night but today it keeps showing the Error message. I can access the relations ok but not the trees. I'm glad it's not just me with the problem. Last night the site went down for updating so I switched off and now this, Why didn't they leave things as they was. Michele

DEFINITELY MIFFED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Dad Just came over, for the first time this year, I couldn't show him the ancestors on his Fathers side because I access them through a "Linked" name with another member. Wonderful......NOT!! I've been telling him to come & see for ages, he hasn't been well though, typical. No flippin' Genes Reunited here I can tell you!! GENES WELL & TRULY DIVIDED ACTUALLY!! :(:(:(:(

Hi, I have just emailed the support team regarding this problem. Lets hope we get some answers soon. I have just made contact with a new relation and this is so fustrating!!!! I can't update my ancestors line without access Michele

I had the same problem all yesterday and this morning. Twice contacted the support team with no response. However I now find the problem is resolved. Did I miss the abject apology from Genes connected administrator ,or whatever they're calling themselves today, or are they still too busy making unnecessary changes to the name? Judith
