Hi Sue names I'm searching for are GARNER & LANGDON Frederick A Langdon (1901 census) 92 vAUXHALL Rd. Liverpool, wife Ellen (Hesketh?), sons William 18, Charles12, daughters Mary A 17, Eleanor M 15, and Loouisa 5 months. Charles is on 1891 census, with wife Mary and daughters Mary 3, and ellen 8 months in Liverpool. Charles died in his 30's, had another son Joseph Langdon who died during WW2. Joseph had two children Paul and Sara??, wife Patricia (Fleming) schoolteacher. Ellen Charles's daughter married Tom Garner and lived in Liverpool and Moreton. (Charles's wife Mary remarried in Liverpool name became Rooney). Anyone recognise any of this?? |

Hello Sue, Could you please look up the name FARLEY not exactly sure of address but I know my grandmother was supposed to have been born in Aintree area sister Margaret and brother Christopher, their parents were reputed to have come from Ireland. Karen sorry I cant' help you with an 1861 lookup...as I said in the opening post, I need an address as the 1861 isn't surname indexed yet. It will be great when it is. Have you found your relatives on any other census? Sue |

Hi Sue, Hope you can help. My G / Grandfather, Alfred Wentzell was born in Charles Street, Birkenhead in 1854, his elder brother of two years earlier, Harry, b c1852, Liverpool (On the 1871 Census we have them aged 14 & 16.) We have no other info on Harry than this, we have not even been able to find him on the BMD / GRO INDEX. Both changed their name to SADLER / SADDLER when they emigrated in 1878 & 1897. Their mother was CHARLOTTE SADLER & father was either JAMES or ALBERT (GOTTLEIB) WENTZELL, Many Thanks, Regards J.C. |
