I have seen them at a local (big) Garden Centre, you know the sort, sell everything else as well as plants. Also Ottakars have had them in the past. Frances |

you can see the front cover of the readers digest one if you go to amazon's website and type in "our family history" in the search box. As I say it is similar to a wedding album in style, it ties up with ribbons and not particularly aimed at grandparents . KIM |

Have just been into Birmingham and checked most of the bookstores and various other suggestions too. Tried to see if they had the Readers Digest one but didn't even have it on their computer so couldn't get to see what it was like. Went into Past Times and saw two delightful books (the sort I wanted) but unfortunately geared for Grandparents and grandchild - however as its a birthday present for someone who is a grandmother (though she'll kill me for emphasising it) I bought them both and have now posted them off to Australia. Am still looking though - so if anyone sees one please let me know. |

Just had a look - the binders are a good idea for me perhaps but not what I was looking for a present. |

I bought the "Our family history" one from Amazon by Readers digest. it is very nice, like a wedding album, with places for photos and pages to organise your family history, it looks really nice, I have not begun to put anything in it yet but will do soon, comes complete with a wall chart for your tree also. We got one years ago from one of those discount book shops, they only went as far as great grandparents though. Might seem a mile a way for beginners, but you will soon pass the point where the book is useless. Margaret |

I live in Birmingham but haven't heard of any Family History Fairs locally. Would have thought that living in big city I should be able to find the sort of book I wanted in a shop or store!!!!!! |

If you could find out where there was a Family History show you would probably get one there. I went to one some years ago and they had books, graphs everything you could wish for. Chris |

Julie If you do find one, please let us know on this board. I have got a book but it is full of info and not as organised as I'd do it now, it is also American. Helen |

I'm after a hard back book for a present that you put your own family tree in, photographs, write own history in for future generations to be able to read. I've asked at various book stores etc but can't see just what I want. Don't particularly want an american style book either. Anyone any ideas if there is one out there and if so where I can get a couple of copies? |
