Greeting's Again Geraldine. . . . Unfortunately my 1841. Census only covers Leicester and Leicestershire. and Rutland was a county on it's own rights then. and passions still run high for it to remain that way today. But having said that I know volunteer's are busy transcribing Rutland's records in fact the 1861 Census. ( CD No. 43.) has just been released. £10.50. from the Leicester & Rutland Family History web site, or order from :- The Family History Book Shop. c/o Typewriter Centres. 101, High Street. LEICESTER. LE 1 4 JB. phone No. 0116 253 8745. ( ask for Peter ) Sorry but my Burial records only cover Leicester & Leicestershire. But if you post the details of whom your looking for in Staffs. I'll see what comes up with my V R I burial disks You never know ?. . . . MIKE. |

Mike the oracle!! How do you know so much?? In reply to your reply! Elizabeth Staniforth nee Hincks (sister of Richard Hincks senior b.1830) married George Staniforth (brother of Farmer senior b.1835!). As you said she is with her father, Thomas Hincks on the 1841 and 61, missing from the 1851. Following your advice I shall continue to search for George and see what happened to that line! Richard Hincks junior - offspring of Richard senior, I agree with your comments as to parentage. There is a record of his birth on the IGI, but again, no mother mentioned. I would love to know who she is/was, as this is my direct line. Richard juniors daughter Ethel Hincks married William Staniforth, Farmer juniors son!! Can you see as to why I am so confused as to who is who in my tree? This is just the beginning of the two famillies marrying into each other! ARGH!!! Will I ever unravel the mess and mystery??? Thanks for your help once again! Sarah |
