I had a problem like this, I had sent them to my Christina's files. The problem was found for me, you shouldn't have apostrophies in the file name, would you by chance have done the same as me? When the apostrophe was removed I could view all my files. Regards Christina |

Hi Bob, Thanks for checking that for me. At least I can carry on saving searches until I sorting out whatever the viewing problem is. Thanks, I can relax again now. Nicky |

Nichola files recieved and opened ok! (lee to lea 1903 and 1868!.) So it's some setting on your PC. Why not first try setting all your IE settings in tools/ internet options/ security to default. Bob |

try the open with and see if it comesup there.under the djvuer . If not , try ringing the 1837 site and see what they say? Sorry I can't help further ,wish I could, I know how frustrating computers can be . If you are on xp you could try system restore , under "accessories" and System tools and restore your computer to a date when you last could view them ? Sorry not much help .I'll cross my fingers for you!Just found this on lizard tech's site Article Number: doc-200312-03 Created: December 05, 2003 Modified: -- Affected Products DjVu Browser Plug-in 4.1 for all Operating Systems Issue After saving a .djvu file from the web, I am unable to view the file locally using the DjVu Browser Plug-in. Resolution Verify that the file you're download is in .djvu format. The DjVu Browser Plugin can view files in .djvu format only. To save a file to .djvu format from the web, right click on the image and select Save As from the list of options. Under file format menu, select .djvu and save the file to your computer. Additional Information If you're unable to save the .djvu file out in .djvu format, select one of the other available formats, save to your machine, and open the file using an application that will open that format. For instance, .bmp can be opened in Windows Paint. TIFF (.tif) files can be opened in Photoshop and other applications. ust found this on Lizard tech site ... Kim |

Yep they are all blank. I have tried changing everything. I have even gone onto 1837online and viewed the example image which I can see. I've saved it (as djvu file as there are no other options) then when I click on it it is also blank. I'm confused and stressed as I've possibly lost a lot of information and money. |

I have been through the same thing, try and right click before you open the file it should come up with a box that says "update djvu" or similar if you click on that you should be ok. failing that , go back in and redownload the Djvuer from the website. Hope this helps Kiml |

Can anybody help me please. I have done loads of marriages searches from 1907-1921, birth searches from 1902-1919, death searches from 1969-1977 and loads of misc. I have saved every quarter for each year but when I click the djvu file I just get a blank page. Some of my earlier saved searches which I have subsequently viewed also come up blank now. Any suggestions as this is hours of long hard searching through the register. |
