One g-grandfather died of 'pressure of dilated stomach on fatty heart' - sounds like a lot of meat pies over a number of years...! |

I wonder how long it will be before someone on a soap dies of one of the causes listed here? They must get their inspiration from somewhere... My bets are on the dodgy pies, but I'd love to see someone die of teeth! Carole |

I just looked up my ggrandmother's death which was due to climacteric disease. It seems to be a condition of the menopause. Okay fair enough but she was 82 years old when she died! |

Lyla LOL> that must be a record, thank god I've been there, and dont have to go there againLOL>>......Phew......... All these dubiuos causes of deaths certified by Doctors, makes me wonder what will happen when people are looking up what happened to us, will the medial profession and society get so far advanced that whats written on todays certs will be laughed at in 100 years time. Hopefully nobody will see things like teeth.......... Pat x |

I knocked most of my real teeth out when I was 8 years old and the rest are full of fillings so at least I dont have to worry about dying of teeth....unless I get bitten by Marion's horse. Did you know you can get a coroners report if your relative died from "Visitation of God". On the same page as my unfortunate relative are the following: Compression of the brain That he shot himself being insane Found dead That he killed himself being insane Found drowned Disease of the head |

This one isn't that amusing, but it's the most interesting death in my family so far. One of my 3rd great grandfather's died from blood poisoning. He died after accidental crushing of four fingers of right hand by shaft end of lever of pit Machine at Murton Colliery. He lived 17 days after the accident. An inquest had to be held. |

My GGgrandmother died in 1880 aged 87. The cause of death, which was certified by a doctor was.... accident old age! Did she accidentally reach 87?! Anne |
