Looking for any connections to Albert(Bert) Davis, Do not as of yet ,know birth details or any other private details about his parents or siblings. I do know that he married Agnes Hands from Redditch, Worcestershire, Parish of Feckenham/Ipsley.b. 1893. Bert worked on the railways They moved to the Rhonnda Valley in South Wales after they married ,maybe around 1914/1918 . They lived for 40 happy years in Dyvordyk St.(I know that i have not spelt that correct but have not got a clue how it is spelt, sorry! ) They were only able to have one child, but he was very loved. But he sadly died without issue, in his 30`or early 40` he drowned in the Serpentine in Hyde Park in London,in the late 1950s or early 60s, whilst swimming.Bert and Agnes were devastated. They were my great aunt and uncle. So if anyone knows anything about the Davis family ,I would be graterul. Thank you VICKY. |

If anybody can find a marriage between John Vowles and Ann Sage in or before 1839 it would be great (maybe before Civil Registration started, maybe after). Their first child that I know of was Alfred Vowles christened 27 Jan 1839 at Dundry, the birth was registered at Bedminster in March quarter of 1839. On the 1851 census HO107 folio 479 page 24 Bristol City District 16, Browns Row, schedule 91 both John and Ann's ages are given as 35, and birthplaces for John Bedminster and Ann Bristol St. Phillips. There are a lot of John Vowleses in the area though! Kate. |
