ggt grandfather has dissapeared

Can anybody help me my ggt grandfather has vanished off the face of the earth at least in england his name Frank Fredrick Friday he appears to have vanished after the death of his wife in 1904 there son my grandfather was brought up by his grand father i have gone through the death index from 1904 to 1920 with out any trace of a death for him where would i start looking to see if he possibley went overseas Lorraine |
