Ann Thanks for trying. Not sure about the Kingston guy - the family seemed to have stayed within a handful of streets in St giles for most of the time i've found them. I'm in London in a couple of weeks so I'll search teh years either side when I'm there. Cheers for your hepl Zoe

Thanks Ann Both of these have been driving me mad for months now so I appreciate you taking the time to look. I'm beginning to suspect that neither of them were registered or they lied about their ages and are pre-1837. I THINK I may have located Samuel's marriage now so lets hope the cert will shed some light on his age! Much appreciated anyway! Lou xx

Hi Zoe, We looked 1856 to 1858 and the most likely James Cooley we found was: James William Cooley, Kingston, 2a 161, Mar 1857 The other James we found was: James Cooley, d , Ashon, June 1858, but figured that was unlikely. Didn't get time to look for Kate/Cathering before hubby was dragging me away so will try next time. Hope this helps, if you would like me to try earlier/later then let me know. Regards Ann

I would be really grateful for the marriage details of: William Swan and Mary (unknown) the marriage took place in the December quarter of 1842 in Stockton, North Yorks (sometimes Durham is used). He was born in either East or West Rounton, N Yorks. I believe she was as well. Any help would be really appreciated. Many thanks Rosemary

Hi Ann, I wonder if i could take you up on your kind offer of a lookup please. I am looking for the marriage of Louisa Whyatt and John Parr . I believe it would have taken place in Bristol and was probably in 1854 or 1855. (Oldest son from 1871 census was born in 1856). I would be grateful for any help you can give....even if its just to eliminate a year or so. Many thanks - and hope you had a nice time at FRC today. Karen

Hi Ann Such a kind offer!! I'm looking for the marriage details of the following ROBERT WOODWARD and HARRIETT (don't know maiden name) Robert was born in 1828 and Harriett 1830 both living in Nercwys Flintshire (then spelt Nerquis) (registration district should be Hawarden or Holywell) Their first child was born in 1855 so I'm estimating marriage took place between 1848 and 1854 , sorry can't be more specific!!! I understand if this look up may be a bit too vague!! Good Luck at the FRC, hope you have luck on your own research!! Regards Sarah Sarah

Ann Only if you have time... Looking for the births of Samuel Hawkridge approx 1845 says birthplace is Beeston, Nottinghamshire John Gaskin approx 1844 could be registered either Burton or Derby The pages for both of these on 1837 are positively decayed and I couldn't make out what any of it said! Hope I caught you in time..... Many thanks Lou xx

ooooh Ann - yes please, I'm looking for one of two births Kate/Catherine Cooley 1848 - 1852 (calculated from various census) or James Cooley 1856 - 1858 (census again) sorry that the years are so wide but they dont appear to be good at math sin my family. birth district theoretically should be Pancras or St Giles but at this stage I'm willing to venture anywhere in London. I'm not concerned which one I get I'm just desperate for some way to find their mother. Thank you Zoe

Hi all, Going to the FRC in a little while and hopefully next Saturday. I will be looking at BMDs, so if there are any of you out there who need looks up, but would cost a fortune on 1837 please post them here or on my thread on the records office board with as much detail as you know and I'll try my best for you. Am hoping to go a few times over the next few months as I am going to attempt a one name study [any advice gratefully received] Regards Ann
