I am looking for a family who were living in Warwick at the time of the 1861 census. They are Samuel Hickton, b abt 1827, his wife Emma, b abt 1834, their daughter Caroline Hickton b abt 1859 and Emma's daughter Mary Ann King b abt 1857. Samuel was born in Stratford and the others were all born in Warwick. I can find a Mary Ann King age 14, a servant on the 1871 census, but none of the others appear on the 1871 or 1881 that I can find. I have found the marriage of a Caroline Hickton in 1883 and the death of a Samuel Hickton of the correct age in 1890, but neither census has anyone with those name born anywhere that fits those two events, so I can't include or exclude them as being mine. Any clues as to where I can look?! |
