I can't find my Grandparents on any of the usual boards. They were both born in Wales, UK, Sarah Jane Roberts 1880 and Edward Brooks about the same age. They might have married in the early 1900's as my Mum and her Sister were born in the mid 1900's. Anyone got any ideas of where else besides Ancestry, LDS and this board I could look? Thanks, Audrey in Canada |

Samuel Higginbotham and Esther (Nee Boardman) these guys just dont seem to exist. Im beginning to think they were a figment of the registrars imagination! Samuel and Esther had a Charles Higginbotham in 1938 in Market Street Manchester stating they were at Mill Street Long Millgate. However none of them seem to exist untill 1871 when Charles turns up in Rochdale road with his wife and child calling himself Charles Boardman (mothers maiden name) Any help with these guys would be fantastic! Samuel Hickton, born in Stratford about 1827. I have him with a wife Emma and a daughter Caroline age 2 and step daughter Mary Ann King age 4, all born in Warwick. In 1861 they are living with Sam's stepfather George Allen in Warwick, and then the whole lot vanish. George probably died, he was in his 70s, but Sam and family vapourised. Christine in NZ |

Caleb Ryman b.1865 married Susanna Eades 1885, they had 3 children cicely, grace and henry. in 1881 i have caleb with his aunt and cousins. in 1891 i have susanna and children, no caleb. but she is still classed as wife not widow and not head of house. by 1901 they have all vanished. evidently when he went to my great grandfathers in c.1917 he made no mention of being married and least of all having kids. he was always known as being a tramp until i unearthed a v old family tree which gave this marriage. i have no death for him no other census that he is on etc etc. any ideas? he was born in peckham if thats any help, parents were robert and sarah ryman (fricker) grandparents were Thomas and Mary Ryman - and they are a whole brick wall to themselves!! if any one has an insight an incling or even a general idea PLEASE help lol doing my head in now! Many thanks Corrina x |

Got an ancestor either adult or child who seems to have vanished and you can find no trace of them? Why not post their details here and the last trace you have of them in case other members can give you new ideas of where to look :~) George |
