Hi All Just come across my grandparents marriage certificate and my grandfather is listed at the following pub... Foresters Arms Beckside Beverley East Riding of Yorkshire However, I am presuming he did not run the pub as his occupation is shipyard plater and that it was possibly his parents. |

Hiya,Hubbys family had THE THREE KINGS INN,Mitcham,Surrey. From the early 1800s right through to 1925 when it was pulled down.Another Three Kings was built on the same site, sad to say that's now closed and is awaiting development. The ROSIER family also had connections with THE BEEHIVE just along the road from The Three Kings, that too sadly has closed down.My boys are gutted that these pubs didn't stay in the family....hmm I wonder why????. ggggrandfather George Stribling a blacksmith took over The Lion Inn, Leavenheath Suffolk in 1880s. It was passed down 4 generations to about 1970. My ggg grandad George Tate was the victualler/coal merchant of the Canal Tavern in Whitley, North Yorkshire, in 1838. Unfortunately the pub is not there now, so I can't go to raise a glass to him. I also think that my gggg grandad Adam Allinson was the landlord of the White Horse in Ledston, in the early 1800s, but need to dig a little futher yet. This pub is still there. Maggy |

Had a rellie who ran a pub in Oving, Nr Chichester Sussex. family cannot remember the name though. Apparently he was a cooper who was then given the pub to run. His name was William Hutchins. If anyone can help with possible names of pubs in this area it might help jog memories. We think the pub is still there. |
