Thanks to Ann and Jeanette. I finally got there in the end. If anybody else is wondering how to open 'blank C.S.V file in Excel rather than using note pad , then try this: Click once on 'Blank C.S.V. Right click icon Go on 'open with - choose programme' Click on 'select programme from a list ' Click 'ok' Click on 'Browse' scroll down to 'Microsoft Works ' and click on it. Click on 'ok' and it should open up a spread sheet in ' Excel'. Regards Connie |

'Fraid I'm not very pc literate Ann! lol. Mine opens in a Works spreadsheet Connie Try this. Open your spreadsheet and then open Blank into it. Click on File on the tool bar at the top, and then click on Save As. You will then be given a choice for naming the file - so give it a name. Just below that it should say something like All Files. Click on the drop down menu and hopefully there should be the option of choosing an Excel File. Click on that and then click on Save. I know Carol can convert Excel files to .CSV's. Jeanette x |

Ann. Thanks for the reply. Sorry to take so long in responding. I think I will have to upgrade the Internet Explorer as only running on version 5. Just about to contact Carol and see what she says about Internet Explorer and the differences in my disk. Will let you know what happens. Thanks again, Maureen |

Jacqueline. Thanks for the reply and e-mail. Jeannete. Will contact Carol about the disk. Not really too much of a problem working on it, only done one image so far, but I did wonder if it was different to everyone elses. Will try and upgrade the Internet Explorer meantime and see if that helps with viewing the image. Would you believe I want to make it smaller - can not see much more than 5 lines and one or two columns at a time. Thanks again, Maureen |

Glitter Baby, My disc opens on Internet Explorer on one computer (running on Windows 98) and the only way I can read the writing on the pages is to go into View and click on TEXT SIZE and change it to MEDIUM or LARGER. Not very good even so. On the other (Windows ME), it appears without being online and I have the magnifying glass option which is simple and much clearer. However, I don't have Excel on that one , so I can't open the spreadsheets...... As if reading all that scrawl isn't hard enough already!! Jack |

Definitely get back to Carol about your cd Maureen. It shouldn't be like that and I certainly wouldn't want to try and find my way round it! Jeanette x |

Jeanette. I checked all toolbar options and the help section and there is no mention anywhere of either a zoom facility or magnification option. My computer is almost 5 years old and all software is similar age except anything I have added later. Currently running on Windows 98. Will have to add a thread asking for suggestions. Think I will have to contact Carol about a couple of other things. One being that I do not have an index down the left hand side when I first open the disk as mentioned in an earlier reply. That is not really a problem as first doc no 4015980-00004 gives me the RG ref and then the second doc no 4015980-00008 gives me the Enumeration sheet. The first image is on the third doc no 4015980-00014. The rest of the disk is numbered similarly. Oh well no one said it would be easy. Maureen |

Hi Maureen On mine there are 2 ways of doing it. On the tool bar at the top of the page there is a magnifying glass with a + in the middle of it. Click on that then put your cursor over the image and click. Each time you click the image will get bigger. The other way - on the tool bar below that other tool bar is a window with a figure plus % in it. At each side of that window is a plus and minus sign. Click on the plus sign. Again it will enlarge the image each time you click Jeanette x |
