I found a card in my late fathers papers describing a stagecoach trip from Brighton to the Epsom Derby on 23 May 1883. It describes my GGrandfather William Jackson as 'that famous 'Whip', late a trainer and jockey of repute and brother to Harvie Jackson the once celebrated steeplechase rider'. Could anyone advise where I should look to obtain more information about them? |
