My name is Marion, and yes I am as bad as you lot lol Mine hasn't said much, apart from is it ok if I check my email or are you getting ready? I do fly about with a duster now and again, sort the washing out as I look on here, have my breakfast while looking on here, have my lunch while looking on here. I do sit at the table for tea though, that's if I have made it lol. no, we do still eat. Having broadband makes it worse, I just don't switch it off at times, then I look in and see something and that's me started again. Like this thread :))) |

Hubbie calls himself an Internet Widower. Hmmm....this coming from the guy who has rigged the portable tele and the PS2 up on the worktop so he can talk to me whilst playing that and I'm on here. This coming from the guy who used to vanish for hours at a time to paint two floors up from where I'm sitting!!! |

Count me in as well!!!! My husband wants to know why I am so obsessed with dead people. I have been addicted for over 10 years so beware its does not get any better, there is no known cure... its terminal. And I for one would`nt have it any other way. Best wishes to all other `sufferers`. Marianne. |

Hi Dea, I was normal until I found this site....... I have joined ancestry and try to help others. On Friday i could be spotted in a graveyard in the pouring rain writing down an inscription for a fellow GR member. You are no doubt beyond help. My advice is to give in gracefully and enjoy.... Sometimes I do worry that I am a bit round the bend. Lozie and Lyla, me too, switch on pc, go for a wee in the morning. Hubby thinks I totally obsessed and I guess I am. I dream bloody ancestry images - and about all these dead people. Perhaps we are becoming one of those cults that relatives have to rescue you from. Oh dear. |

You are quite normal. Unfortunately I no longer have a husband but my kids are the ones that are worried. They dragged me out bowling yesterday because they thought I needed a break. As soon as we got back I turned the computer on to check my emails and things, I think they now give up with me. Best wishes Maria |

Thankfully Dea my husband works in the IT world and knows how addictive these pooters are. I have been addicted since my son was born ( nearly NINE years ago - long before broad band and only PAY AS YOU GO - I still feel ill at the though of my Phone Bill back then) Re assure him that at least you've not taken up with another fella or girlie LOL!! So it keeps you outta trouble!! Much happiness Debi |

One more for the addicts club. Am I the only one delighted that the Easter holidays are over. He has gone back to work, so I can be on here all day without him knowing. Except that I must do that big pile of ironing or he will have no shirts. Yes I know he could do his own, but even I can't justify that. Lovely man works to support me after I gave up full time teaching - thirty years was enough for me. Linda |

My husband is only concerned that a) he might not get his shirts washed, never mind ironed and b) he can't get on the computer I have told him how the washing machine works and also that we could get a new computer (or laptop) but he hasn't taken the hint. My children think family trees are really boring, but they understand the joy of interacting with a screen as they would be on their playstation all day if I didn't make them go out and get some fresh air & exercise. Trouble with that is they return covered in grass and mud and somehow I don't seem to have much time for housework these days.... When I do see how much the house needs cleaning, I'd rather come and escape from it in the office which is the tidiest room in the house. nell |

Hi fellow Genie addicts anonymous, I am sittin here in my jim-jams as usual. Have just read all the threads since last night and both hubby and teenage daughter are shaking their heads in disbelief at me. They both know that I am comletely certifiable now and are wondering if I'll ever be back to 'normal'., but i've told them i am now completely beyond help. LOL Unfortunately i am gonna hav to go 'cold turkey' for the rest of the day coz i'v got to help with the fitting of our new kitchen.LOL When it's finished hubby will have to use the pc in the bedroom coz there will be no room for it in the kitchen coz i'v nicked his 'Harry Potter cupboard' where his pc used to be, so that i can stick the washing machine and tumble dryer in there. He says its always 'YOU YOU YOU'. LOL well better go get dressed and help with the kitchen sob sob sob. Lozie :~) |

Hi All I've no husband to worry about & now I've got Broadband the kids can contact me but I've just realised that after three days off I'm back to work tomorrow & I haven't washed the work gear. I'm off to put the wash machine on but I don't think I will be away long. As someone else said I was quite 'normal' till I found this site. Vivienne |
