Thanks for that Nicky, I hadnt thought of that. After all, it was the 2nd April when I read them as I was out all day on the 1st April. We are half a day ahead of England. |

Do they still put Roman Numerals as dates on films when they were made? I always try to read when they were made but usually could never work them out quick enough from the credits. |

What are these last 3 postings about? I was looking at the thread on Roman numerals and came to p2, which is where I now am, but it seems to have changed topic. I cant see any sites listed by Karen on p1. Is there a gremlin in the works? |

I remember the freezing milk in the winter. It usually warmed up by the afternoon - I had 19 bottles one day! |

Lisa, if that is an actual reference, then it should be written as iv, because that IS the ref., using 4 is wrong.(in that instance) Bob |

Absolutely right, David. Adding up long lists of roman numerals is a complete nightmare. Worryingly, there are some taxation lists which do not add up at all. I've often wondered whether it was incompetence or a con! |

It must have been difficult adding up and doing accounts. But I suppose they had a system? David |

I suppose it doesn't matter really, i mean I means 1 so IIII is 4, the quicker way of writing it is just IV in this case is what lisa has seen; but either way it means the number 4! LMP :) |
