Is there any way you can find out if Robert Proctor born 1807 Burnley, is the son of Henry and Peggy Proctor (sometimes spelt Prockter), Henry born 1776, Peggy born 1769, married 1797 Burnley. Gloria - you need someone with an early Lancashire census - try putting a request on the records office board, something like. 'How early in Lancs can anyone go?' Then explain what you are trying to establish. The replies will be that you need to look at parish records BUT someone may pop up with the info you need. Good luck - ~Jess~

Hello Jess. If you have time I would appricate if you could find a Madden family living in Leeds over the 1871 to 1891 Census. I know they lived in 61 Victoria Avenue on the 1901 Census. The family in the 1901 Census consisted of. Sarah Madden Head aged 52 Joseph Madden Son aged 26 James Madden Son aged 24 Clarence Madden Son aged 19 Johanna Madden Daughter aged 27 Teresa Madden Daughter aged 22 Agnes Madden Daughter aged 17 Lily Madden Daughter Aged 15. Janice. on the 1871 cesus for wales there is more than one Edmund Lewis born that year in that village! One is a boarder so not with parents .The other cetainly has a mother called mary although lots of other siblings. You may have to go to Scotlands people and look later then work back ~Jess~

hello again jess ... update on james wrigley .... he was born in 1867 so if still alive in 1901 he would be 34.. daughter florence was 6 in 1901 so 1895 her birth year , the last address for mary wrigley ( james wife ) was 11 back high st middleton , but no mention of james , its a pity they where married in 1892 missing the 1891 census !! i just dont know where to go from here ,. as you found there are quite l lot of james wrigleys in and around middleton etc. on my dads birth cert no father mentioned dad was born sept 1901, so he missed the census , on mum and dads wedding cert it names james wrigley as father (deceased ), is this enough to find out a little more , or what do i need now ? sorry to pick your brains so much but this is my first try and i have done quite well with a little help ,. sylvia
