I know what it means - but just not in the context you gave ! Nope - not a clue, was hoping you would find him as easily as those 'simple ones' above ! So Millicent isnt the Crawley born lady ? GRRRRRRRRR

Linda Lanning is not down as Linda Taylor. Still waiting for Millicent. Researching forwards is looking for descendants, rather than ancestors. Do you mean you know where Horace is lurking?

LOL - Brenda says 'just say which census as you'll put everyone else at an advantage to you.' Who ?

Unknown

Unknown Report 2 May 2005 15:25

similar to 'Catch-me-if-you-Can Caroline', then ? Dunno about you, but I think Brenda's got the complexity the wrong way round - or they're all tough !

Did the clue mean he's in Plumstead, Laird? All I can say so far is that he's not the Horace Davidson in Leeds. (I was taught you should never research forwards in time, because of the chances of error!)

Jess and Laird, No, no and no. If you think you can find them, just say which census as you'll put everyone else at an advantage to you.

None of the following appear in the censuses precisely as stated, but all were simple to find without access to Ancestry. See how quickly you can find them, only using censuses on Ancestry: Warm up: 1871 census: Millicent Puttock nee Hedger bp 1786 in Cranley, Surrey slightly more challenging: 1881 census: Matilda Edwards born 1859 Bideford and a wee bit more difficult: 1901 census: Linda Lanning born 1890 Southwark As I don’t expect everyone to be indoors on such a nice day, just note if you’ve found all three and I’ll put the answers up this evening.
