Like the others have been following the thread with interest and have just popped in to wish BIL well tomorrow. I think they both will get something very rewarding from this meeting at last. Good Luck Kx

I hope this isn't fate taking a hand... but the trip has had to be postponed. My sister & BIL's 7yr old daughter is very ill, she was running a high temp on Monday apparently and today has been absolutely full of cold, very sleepy, very hot and extremely miserable, understandably. I was booked to look after the elder 2 children and the youngest was going to my other sister. Beside's my sister not wanting to leave her, other sis is a child-minder and responsible for 3 others tomorrow, as well as her own 2 boys, so having a sick child is not an option. I work so she cannot come to me ill or not, and of course all she wants is her mum anyway. Can you imagine them being all geared up (and you & I are too!) and it's all had to be shelved. I'm sure they will go very soon, within the next couple of weeks, but as you know these things are not so easily arranged when there are children to organise. There was me hoping to bring you all fabulous news tomorrow, fingers-crossed we wont be waiting too long Sam

oh sammy. sorry to hear the littlun is poorly, but she must come 1st, I do hope she recovers very fast so she can enjoy her holiday`s! your BIL will have to try and make arrangements not too far in the near future to make that most important journey of his life , with hope of him getting a positive response! That must have been so very disappointing for him, getting all psyched up. But may be it was meant to be and when he does go things will at least satisfy him. God bless.

Thats good news Sam..........in one way.........just tell him to wear his thickest rhino skin jacket just in case.........its quite a lonely looking place up there by the looks of it........I hope and pray it isnt a long desolate journey home. At the end of it all,he has made the effort,he is not responsible for her past,and if she cant see beyond her pain,it will be her loss,and she'll depart this life the loneliest soul imaginable.

Thank you all Grandad is used to spendidng his days alone Pat, it's just overnight my BIL wont leave him, not yet. Hence the long drive to Aberystwyth & back in one day. I just rang my sister, she's deciding whether or not to take two of her children. I've got the eldest here, I think they'll be bored stiff, all that time in the car, but I'll leave it up to her. I hope they go tomorrow or I'll just put them in my boot and take them myself!

Fingers crossed Sammy. I've only left a couple of messages on this thread, but have been following it all the way. Hope it goes well.... even that it goes ahead as planned. xxx
