Hello, I've managed to find my great grandfather on 1871 census, but I have been unable to find him on 1881 census. His wife died in 1865 and on the 1871 census he is a widow. His name was George Goodge and was born 1817-1825 approx in Offley, Herts. I expect to find him living with his son Alfred(c1871). I have also been unable to locate his daughter Margret who was born c1853 in Offley. Thank you very much for your help, Lucia |
