A2A (Access to Archives) is a wonderful hotchpotch of catalogues to all sorts of record offices. The web address is changing soon, so Google it. Take time to browse the site, to find the different ways in which you can search it. I've found lots of unexpected references to ancestors there, and they tend to be interesting references too. |

Just sneaked up to have a look. Ive found one John Horstead 1616 surveying some property for a Lord In Lincolnshire. Woo hoo, its got to be one of mine - there are only about 300 Horsteads in the universe then! Now, that could give me a lead on where my GGFx4 married Elizabeth Selby 1760ish??? |

Elderly Tabby BOOHOOOOO!!! Only three new entries for me, how very disappointing. Mind you, I think that 675 hits is probably just about everything, don't you? Marjorie |

Hi Siobhan, I just recently got some details found on a2a. What I did was get in touch with the record office that had the details.( with the ref no on a2a) they sent me a price of what the records would cost and I took it from there can't remember how I paid but there should be link to the relevant offce to tell you what to do. I found it quite easy, but I am the worlds worse at explaining things !!!!. hope you understood that lot. Germaine |

Germaine, I contacted the records office. But they have informed me that they would be unable to produce photocopies of the images and would only be able to produce digitialised copies which would cost in £200 pounts. That is ridiculous. Am I really going to have to go to the Plymouth records office myself :o( . I live in Leicestershire. |

> http://www(.)a2a(.)org(.)uk/ You ONLY need the (.) if there is a (dot)co or (dot)com in the address, and even then you only need (.) for the 'dot' before the 'com' or 'co'. So... http://www.a2a.org.uk/ ...displays just fine as it is. Cheers, Bill Sydney, Australia |
