I think Jon's board idea is a very good one I'm a member of a couple of other sites where the layout is exactly as he's described and I find it incredibly useful as people with 'expert' and often local knowledge tend to frequent the boards of 'their county'. Lou |

Hi Jon Have you posted your idea to GR? It sounds like a very good one and it would be easy for them to set up too - I know because my hubby runs a couple of websites and adding things like your suggestion is quite easy. It would also be a good idea if GR had a board for posting any sites addresses that have relevant information on them too - but I doubt very much they would agree to that! Even though it would keep their site more user friendly. Vikki xx |

Marjorie and Jess have said they have noticed ''wrong'' info being given in replies to threads....... I wonder if any were my replies??? (hangs head in shame, just in case...) Surely if mis-info is given we should all be brave enough to point it out (tactfully lol)?? I, for one, would be very glad to know that I had made a mistake - might make a difference to my own research! For instance, I know I told someone that (circa 1842) a body couldn't be buried without a death cert. This, I now know, is incorrect, but the thread I posted it on has gone!!! Ah well.... Sarah |
