I popped in my local Post Office this morning, and in front of me having a conversation was a man and a lady talking about the past and what our ancestors would wear and what things they did and said. I thought it was nice to hear someone talking about this subject, as they seemed to know a lot. The gentlemen introduced himself as James Fairhurst. He writes a column in Past Forward, and in the issue out now has done Wartime in Wigan. I was fascinated to hear about the knowledge he had on history. It's nice to meet someone with a lot of past knowledge and share it with others to pass on. |
