Death Cert problem at General Registration Office

Just to let people know that there was a 'glitch' at the General Reg Office a couple of weeks ago concerning death certs. Any ordered that were due out on 10/6 may not arrive as apparently certain ones were printed and certain ones weren't and they have no way of knowing which ones weren't sent out unless people ring up to say they haven't received them. I phoned this morning as I received 3 out of 4 of my certs together with a note saying the 4th would follow in 5-10 days. This didn't happen so I telephoned. The lady told me that if I hadn't phoned, it wouldn't have been sent. Lorraine |
