Jess, in my query re- Martha Brierley and Ann Foulds. Martha's father is a Foulds so it would appear she had Ann out of wedlock. Found this out when I was putting some paper work in order. Sorry if I put you to any trouble but it stopped you sucking your big toe. Gloria xx

Anyway thought I'd put it on here. 1861 census Briercliffe, Burnley, Lancashire Martha Brierley (abt 1831) wife Benjamin Brierley (abt 1830) head two sons two daughters. One of the daughters is Ann Foulds (abt 1851). Trying to find if Ann is Marthas by a first marriage, or Marthas before marriage. Hi there, I've never tried the tips pages before today, and so didn't know that people could be so helpful to those others with this mad addiction to finding where we came from! If it's not too much trouble, please can you help me too :-) I trying to track Henry William Pannell born in the parish of Alverstoke, Gosport, Hants in 1868-ish. I don't know anything about his siblings or parents. However, I do know that by 1894 he had married Alice Sparshott and in 1895 they had their first son Arthur Henry Charles, still in Alverstoke. I also searching for the parents of Beatrice Julia Hood, born in March 1895, but I don't know where. She had two sisters, Lilian and Winifred, and by 1916 she had moved to Alverstoke, Gosport and married Arthur Henry Charles Pannell. Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thanks Heidi

Martin, have found a possible in 1909 but not to the bride that you mention, so probably wrong. It a bit too late for ancestry, you have to try 1837 on line Jess

I searched LDS for Nottingham born George, came up with very bad dates, did the same for Leicester and got this 1815 boy born Sapcote, 3 miles from Peckleton with same parents as my group. Birthdate is slight advance on Marriage but so what....I’ve read bigger mistakes written/transcribed. Jess, You gave me those some while ago, in fact most of my back, forward and lateral is using them. 1871 is the last time they are group, by 1881 it looks like several bad and other turns have happened. The c1823 dad Thomas is dead 1875, cirossis. I suspect that (1846) Thomas the twin died also small pox 1872, wrong father given on dodgy cert. I have never found David. Aaron the other twin married 1877 a double wedding with sister Betsy spliced the same day. Arthur, I found with mum Eleanor in Plymouth 1891, he'd been widowed with two daughters.
