Bob. I have been looking for ages, on and off for this Rutland st- cant even find it in 1881, to look for neighbours that might have been there in 1871, to get back to the street as it were. Hello Jess, it's Bernard again. You were good enough to find the Taylor family on the 1861 Census. We have been to the local library and trawled through the 1871 Census for the Hanlith area, plus a wide area around, without success.The daughters may well be married and have moved on by 1871, but we did expect to find the parents and probably one or two sons, as they were farmers.Thomas Taylor born abt. 1809, Ellen (Nellie) born abt. 1808, Stephen born 1851 and James H. 1852, all born at Slaidburn, West Riding, Yorks.
