Hi The rehearsal went very well, thank you. The conductor decided to get the voices all mixed up instead of in blocks. As the piece is pretty well known, it worked very well. I reckon the sound was much better. I should say that the two siblings weren't alone with their Heads-of-house, I just thought that that would be the most important bit for now. Christine

Blows my theory out the water though, her mother has two children after she became a widow, got one cert today to see who father was and it wasn't mothers child but Emmas father unknown. Thought if hubby was older than her then maybe he was the father but doesn't look like it. At least you have found her for me. Thanks again Dawn

I think that was a good transcript from the National Archives site. The surname is Way on the original page, but is also Emily, which is wrong, but likely the enumerator made an error! Update: have just seen you say she was called Emily once before!! Hooray! Sarah

Searched 1901 for Emily 32 +/- 5 born Bov* and then Way in Bov* 1901 is very fussy about how you spell things, so as someone said earlier today, it's better to be vague.

Christine Knew she was Emily on one of the census but is actually Emma. Can you post the stuff for me and I can double check what I have. If her sister Lucy marriage is to a Call its the right marriage as Lucy is hubbies Gt grandmother. Am trying to do sideways bits as stuck on everything else. Thanks Dawn

Hi I've been playing with your puzzle and found lots of parallel stuff - the family in 1871 & 1881, the other bits of family in 1901, sister-Lucy's probable marriage in 1894 - but no Emma/Emily (she was called Emily in the 1881 census). If you haven't got that stuff already, I could post it for you here. Christine

Have a rellie who married in 1892 and changed from Emma Lethbridge to Way. Husbands name Edward. Sure thats who she married as she is down as E.Way daughter on her mothers obit notice. Have her on 1891 at home but can't find her on 1901 born 1867 in Bovy Tracey Devon dawn
