Joyce offered, so i have accepted, she is going to e-mail the marriage cert of Ada Bassindale/samuel mellor and hopefully the birth cert of their first born child. Not that i dont believe what she tells me, but it might help to see the fact 1st hand as it were. jess

Jess, trawled through 1837online. no birth from1869 up to 1873 for ada bassindale. i have a lot of bassindales born around THORNE and DONCASTER the nearest ive got is ALICE jan/feb/march THORNE 9c 628 and ANNIE ELIZABETH Gainsbro' 7a 683 if you need them sometime i have george lillian frank fred clara henry and so on but none of them were born in the liverpool area. this seems to be a manchester area name, i will keep my eye open for them for you GOOD LUCK..... Changing the subject slightly - It's very strange that the 1893 witness, Mary Bunfield, is a name that only appears to occur in Norfolk/Suffolk on any census or GRO reg. Wots goin' on??? Sarah

I now have a copy of the marriage cert ADA MARY BASSINDALE m SAMUEL MELLOR 1893, walton L'pool. Her father was JOHN (Deceaced) Lic. Victualler the only additional info i have gleaned is that they both lived at 92 Olivia ST BOOTLE at the time of their marriage. - strange, as they married in Walton.
