Hi Jess, Yes please - I would love some BMD and `91/`01 Census help when you have time. I have hit a brick wall with my MORRIS research in the Newington/Walworth/Lambeth/Camberwell/Brixton - LDN. I have been trying to find a Marriage or Death of the following people. (FreeBMD + 1837online) Catherine MORRIS b: SSX c1828 (Mother of Thomas & Florence) Thomas Piper MORRIS b: 1864 Walworth SRY and his sister Florence Olympia MORRIS b: 1863 Walworth SRY Have them with rest of family on `81 Census, but have been unable to locate on either `91 or `01. Thomas`s occ. on `81 was Plumber`s Labourer Florence`s occ. was Domesic Servant Catherine`s husband died 1888. I feel sure the family would still have been around the same area (listed above) as eldest dau was married and living in Brixton up till her death in 1936 and she was witness at another family wedding 1889 Camberwell. There are 65 pages, and 10 on a page, of marriages between 1880 and 1884 for groom David Davies. I can bet a percentage of those are to LLewlwyn's ... hopeless without a location or more exact date

Hi Jess, Yes, That`s my MORRIS family you found on the `81. I have tracked Catherine Eliz b: 1860 - she married my gt g/father Charles Ernest WALLIS - have them traced up till their deaths. Have also traced Ellen Louise b:1866 up to her marr. 1889 - have someone else looking for her on `91 and `01. Hugs Sherryl in NZ

Married (haven't found a date) John Spencer b1889 Iv'e looked on 1881 for possible family and there are a few Northampton and Peterborough Mabel died in 1911 (from Sons B/cert) Thank You! JElly

Hi Jess Do you fancy doing a bit of detective work??????? I cannot find my Grandfather's birth date! Unfortunately his name was John Smith!! I know from his marriage cert that his father's name was William Smith. Occupations were Fireman (John) & Furnaceman (William). Age given as 21 in March 1885, Moxley, Staffs. I have John on the 1891 &1901 censuses, Moorcroft, Bilston and Meeting Street, Wednesbury, age given as 28 & 38, both say born West Bromwich, Staffs. John died in Feb 1937, cert says age 72! I cannot find John on the 1881 census with any certainty, his address in 1885 was given as Moxley. (All Staffs) Unfortunately there are several John Smiths born in West Bromwich with a father named William 1862-1865 and I don't know what his mother's name was. If you fancy a challenge, comparing census info, it's about my only hope now of 'sorting him out' but if it's going to be too much trouble, don't worry!! (Any other suggestions welcome!!!!) Ann
