Keely, You wont move any further without the birth cert for Elizabeth Allen. This will give the parents names, and from that you can find their marriage, eventually. After that ,you could try and find the family on the 1901 census, which might show up any older children,if any. Where does the year 1902 come from? |

Hi, Thank you so much for your time and effort. I am beginning to think that she never married him and just had further kids by him and used his name. Once again thank you for trying. Regards Di. |

I wonder.....! Mother Martha was born Macclesfield according to the census. Not unfeasible that she was visiting family and gave birth. Will get that one checked out, cheers! |

DIDDY DI>>>>>>>>>>> Out of pure stupidity,I checked for deaths anyway for your Harriet pannel, and sure enough, twas a waste of time and credits. Checked 1969,1970 and 1971 for her with that name. Not there. Being so recent,is she a close relative ? If so,where is the info from, because it is not a good source, and would not rely on it for future investigations. How sure about the Cardiff location? |

Ive found a site that does records up to 1974 for cardiff and no-one with the surname pannel died there 1960-1974. |

Hi Alter Ego, Thanks for that info. My grandmother was Elsie Annie Coyne born 1901 in Walsall. Her Birth cert says parents were John & Francis Fanny Coyne. I tried a census search for John & Francis F Coyne with daughter Elsie Annie born 1901 and found them with additional daughter Lillian on 1901 census, father Coal Miner. Obtained the marriage cert of John & Francis, discovered his father's name also Francis, witness named Sarah Jane Coyne. Francis & John both Collier workers. So searched for family Francis head, son John with either wife or daughter named Sarah Jane on 1891 census. Found Francis Coyne Head 1850, wife Sarah Coyne 1850, children Frank 1874, John 1875, Sarah J 1877, William, 1880 Joseph, 1882, Elizabeth 1883, Louisa 1886, Abraham1889 & Mary 1890. On 1891 & 1901 census name of Coyne the birth's match and siblings are all in the same order. The person who found them in 1881 under the surname of Kind are the exact same matches as above but under a different surname. There is a discrepancy on all the census regarding the father's birth year from 1843 /1847/1850. Apart from that everything else is correct. Ihaven't found them on 1881 so don't know if their occupations match. Any help would be absolutely fantastic. Kind Regards, Sandra |
