Thanks Jess - I got your message and it comes up as ''Jess Bow Bag Bobbin Dog'' (what does that mean???!!!) both in the received message as well as the contacts list - both show the same...... I don't know if you are married though Jess?? So if not (sensible woman?) then you are not going to have this problem of having two names on the system!! When you write to people about your tree do they ever come back saying, ''What sort of a name is that??'' or do they not write back lol ????!! I might as well tell you who I want to be.........or should I??! Thanks Dea - Maybe I am going to have to think of a more polite name to go by, than the brill one I want to be???!! Sarah

Sarah, I have a feeling that your name will change to the new one in every message you ever sent that is already in someone else's contacts list (If you see what I mean) ?? Therefore other people will still be able to find you if they open up their messages. I'm sure I have had contacts do this on me and this is how I found them. I may be wrong but I'm sure other people will let you know one way or the other. Dea

I change my name on here to the pseudonym I have been toying with for a while?? I know (at least I think) I have to go to ''My Account Details'' and change my first name and married surname to the name of my choice........ Fine so far..........but, what happens when I write to people through Messages?? They see my name, but what name do they see?? Is my name on Messages/Contacts made up sometimes of my first name and maiden surname and sometimes my first name and married surname?? Does that mean people are sometimes going to see part of my pseudonym with my maiden surname and sometimes my whole pseudonym??? My pseudonym is nice and appropriate for the ''tone'' I like to portray on the Boards (lol), but I'm not sure that I would want it bandied about in Messages/Contacts as no one would take me seriously!!!
