Hi Mike News on my Thomas and multiple birth! The letter came back today and there is not another entry with Thomas. The registrar says ...that this may mean that Thomas was not the only baby at this confinement, but that he was the only one born alive. Stillbirths were not registered at this time. So money back and info into the bargain. The same happened when my mum was born (she was a Moore), she was a twin and the other baby was still born Elaine |

Hi Mike Lol my theory flew out the window then....thank youi had details of James father and mother and the year of marriage but you have given me more....i think James brother and sister are his witnesses....and as for Ellen Breit do you think she could be using her middle name as in one of the census on James has him as Henry James instead of James Henry....but alas i have no middle name for her...if she has got one ...once again Mike thank you very much really appreciate it . warm regards Donna |

Hi Elaine and Mike Well where do i begin...lol...in my tree the names are Gamble (originally from Enderby)I have gone back to 1788 but now am stuck....Barnacle Which you so kindly helped me with yesterday...Hall which i am stuck on they are from Leicester In 1901 census Thomas Hall born about 1863 as age is given as 38 married to a Elizabeth A fron Stoney Stanton whose age is also 38....and have 4 boys Thomas R being my direct descendant born 1888 but then in 1891 census Thomas Hall and Elizabeth are 25 so would be born around 1866 (also Elizabeth is called Annie Elizabeth) So when i look at earlier census there are a few Thomas Hall in between those dates ...the next lot are called Daft and have got back to around 1756 to a marriage of Samuel Daft and Sarah Wilmore which was that date but cannot find birth of Samuel....well thats my dads side of the family ....mums is more difficult they are from Scotland and Ireland but i have managed to do some of it even though it can be hard work..any help would be appreciated but i feel cheeky asking....lol...even though ive typed this all out...warm regards Donna |

Hi Elaine Thanks ever so much, the twist was just what i needed to. Can i be cheeky and ask you if you know how to find a certain building, i know its not a person but you may know, i have ancestors christened at George Street Primitive Methodiat Church they originally come from Enderby where there is a George Street but also moved to Watling Street next to Abbey Park and up the road there is a George Street so i dont know if they have nipped up the road or travelled back to Enderby, i have tried looking myself but come up with nothing thanks again warm regards Donna |
