Debs, Thanks, you are spot on, I had the earlier records. The Alfred, b.1878 was my gf. His father died within 3 months of him being born. I believe Charles may have later emigrated to Canada, after WW!, as my mum said that after her father was killed in the war, an uncle offered to take her to Canada with him and I cannot trace any other uncle who it could have been. What puzzles me is the address 'CROYDEN' when they were in Aldershot. David

I think Joseph Williams was born c1930, so hopefully there won't be that many with the same name, age & occupation (bricklayer) in that particular area.
