Hi Debs Thanks for doing those lookups so speadily. Re Jane CHESTERMAN b 1831 Clyffe Pypard, Wiltshire I'm afraid I dont have any info on her siblings parents at all yet. In later censuses her birthplace is given as Clieve, Wiltshire. Apparently Clyffe/Cliffe is pronounced Clieve so I guess once she left the local area the census recorders would generally misspell it. If you have't done so would it be possible to do a search for Jane Chesterman born Wiltshire c 1831 and see if anyone shows up from Clieve or something that looks like that? She would have been 20 by 1851 so could well have gone off to be a servant somewhere. She married a Henry Fry from Chedworth, Gloucestershire in 1858 so may have moved from Wiltshire to Gloucestershire by 1851. thanks Wade

Hi Debs Re Selina DAVIS b 1824 She may have veen Selina DAVIS (rather than Davies) and may have coem from STAUNTON, Glos rather than STANTON Glos By 1853 she had moved to Chepstow Mon so if she doesnt show up on the England 1851 she may have moved to Wales and we'll have to wait for Ancestry to do that one. Re Jane CHESTERMAN Thanks for all your efforts Debs. She wwas definately born 1830/31 so only the 1 from Reading is a potential fit, however in all the other census es she is described as comming from Clieve, Wiltshire which is quite a way from Reading so either she has somehow droped off the 1851 census or the census enumerator just put Reading as she was therree at the time.
