Hello Debra, You just might help me break down the biggest brick wall in my wife's family. We are trying to find a Halliburton Armstrong who would be aged in the region of 9 years in (probably) Cumberland or (possibly) Northumberland. Thank you very much, Gordon.

Thanks Debra, my John Cox would be about 40yr in 1851 Mary would be 35yrs and Joseph Cooper would be 37yr and Frances would be 28yrs

Debra, Halliburton was probably born about 1841, and censuses consistently say in or near Hexham, Northumberland. His father was William, a 'husbandman' but have no info on mother. The family eventually moved to Cumberland (possibly Brampton), and Halliburton is to be found in the 1861 census as a servant ('carter') to a farmer called Brown in Nether Hesket in Cumberland. The well runs dry after that info. Thank you for your assistance, Gordon
