A fantastic book - if you have immigrant ancestors, and even if you don't is: 'Bloody Foreignors' by Robert Winder. (It's available as pbk £8.99 - but play.com do it for £6.99. Gives a comprehensive over view of different immigrant groups - why, when, who, socio-economic (and very readable) - I got a lot out of it! Hille (With German, Italian and French Hugenot, London ancestors)
