Hello Mike, I'm most grateful for the information, it looks as if the Lockington Pymms were quite enlightened for the times, a daughter signing her own name. My maternal 6xGGF wasn't though, sons could write but education not 'wasted' on his daughters. Many thanks for the Methodist address, I'll get a letter off and keep my fingers crossed. Y&our a star!! Regards, Ralph |

Mike, me again. Just looked on 1837 to get the reference to send off for the certificate and John Jarvis is listed in the April quarter 1867 and Martha Tailby not Martha Law as on their sons birth certificate. The same as on FreeBMD. Would this be a transcription error do you think? Confused JoJo |

Thanks Mike, apologies did not check All Saints. As John is listed with three children prior to '67 and married as a batchelor I assume he was living with Martha before they were married. Wonder what made them get married, wish I could ask someone!! Once again thanks for your help. JoJo |

Good day Mike, how are you? Can you tell me if you have a death for William Page 1880 for Lutterworth, if so is that the district where he died or would that be the place where he died, as I have looked on BMD and it tells me Lutterworth. Also when on BMD it says Blaby would that be where people registered the family or would that be the place they died? Sue....... Have a good day. |
