There are only 3 of us left, well those we know about, and cousin Chas has a friend who is a genealogist, and because i was having trouble obtaining ANYTHING about granddad, he offered to help. A birth certificate was found and obtained for granddad but then my headache started. The only info we had was.....his birthdate, which differs by a week or so from that stated on the birth certificate, and that he had a sister called Mary Ellen and he was born in the Liverpool area. I posted a help request and a very kind person called Poirot jumped to my aid. With the info I gave that was on the birth certificate Poirot came up with a 'hit'. But now my problem is.....granddad appears to have 5 brothers and sisters that we are completely unaware of.. I though a John Maudsley/Maudesley/Mawdsley would be dead simple to find, but there are 1,000s of them out there, well almost 1,000s, but certainly a lot. Us left in the family do not know granddads mother/fathers names so.....how am I going to check that this is the correct John Maudsley???????? ANY help will be very much appreciated Kathlyn Maudesley |
