Could you look up the following for me please:- Richard Clement Huntsworth/Huntworth born c1819 in Caverswall, Staffordshire. Only occupation I know of is an Excise Officer. I know he married in Manchester in 1843. He seems to be a bit of a Gypsy as I've found him back to 1861 and on from there and he's all over the country. |

Hi Robyne, The Rev. John GOULD, b.1780 Trowbridge Wilts., SHOULD have been in Beaconsfield, Bucks., in 1841, with his family: Mary GOULD, wife,b.1792 W.Stafford,Dorset and children (all born Beaconsfield Bucks) Mary GOULD,b.1819 Elizabeth Husey GOULD,b.1822 Susanna GOULD,b.1823 Alice GOULD,b.1825 John Henry GOULD, b.1826 Gertrude Stirling GOULD, b.1830 I was informed they were not present, on the Bucks. 1841 census, so I guess they were off visiting someone - but where? If it is not too much trouble, could you have a look for this family for me? Even if they do not show up, at least I will be able to eliminate some areas. Possible family connections may be in Dorset or Wilts. Many thanks, Beverley from Perth Western Australia |

Robyne, If your offer is still open (and you're not too snowed under) could you do me two more please? I am looking for a John Symes b. 1825 and Charlotte Foster b. 1830 both born in North Curry, Somerset. They married in July 1851 in North Curry so I am hoping they are both living there, with their families, in 1841. At the time he married, John was a baker. John's parents are John (occupation smith) and Mary. To confuse the issue, I think there is also another John Symes or Syms about the same age in the same area, parents Samuel and Amelia. Mary Symes remarried in 1856, so I know her father was Thomas Rook occup. labourer (Ag Lab?) - any sign of him? Don't bother looking out of the village, there seem to be lots of Rooks about in Somerset. Charlotte's father is John Foster, Farmer. Sorry no further information on him or the rest of her family. Many thanks for this. Regards Vicky |
