The only way to do it then is Scotlands People Dawn, just log that in and it will come up and you can see if you think it is worth it. Scottish census and BMD only on this site. But it may be worth listing what and when you want, as it is a credits system. If you get it right first time not expensive. Scottish BMD also tell you parents names on birth, so may be worth it. Good luck and if I can think of anything else will get in touch xxxx

Nelly Dame Helen is the sister of dads godmother. So he really wants to know about her sister and more about her father and mother and this Aristocratic family that they were? Does that make sense? Are the birth /marriage records for Scotlands on 1847 or is that just England? And what about census are there seperate ones for Scotland.? Sorry being really thick I know.

Lemon from the bit off google I have she went to Cheltenham Ladies College, then Kings College. Became Lecturer at Birkbeck College. She joined Red Cross in WW1 when hubby died in 1915 she went back to voluntary war work. She was in the WAAc and royal air force as was her sister Lucy Pratt-Barlow (dads godmother) . From what dad has said my gt nan and nan were in service with her mother and Lucy Pratt Barlow and were in 1933 in Grosvenor Crescent, London. Bit dad is really interested in is the Fraser clan as that is who he is named after and has something of Captain Arthur Frasers as a momento. I can't find a marriage for Arthur Fraser and Lucy Jane ? . And can't find on census in England before 1881 or after then?

I have been looking unsuccessfully for Fraser's (husband family) in Scotland. If you google Fraser you can get the Fraser clan web site but it is not much help as all Fraser's claim to be related. They do have a message board and it may be worth leaving a trying to find message. An unusual first name would help. We have three generations of William Fraser.
