I'm looking for my husbands grandfather who was taken to the US as a baby or maybe even born there. I have the parents and two siblings which verify, on the 1881 census living in East Dean. I've also found the said grandfather reappear in the uk in 1901 lodging in gloucester at the age of 16. The name is Bertram Cuthbert Vaughn or Vaughan b.c1885 minnesota cuba city. - surname is interchanged everywhere with this particular family. I've searched Ancestry US which comes up blank, can't find the birth registered here so can't get hold of certificate. Any ideas how I can fill in the gaps?
